ASUP Annual Retreat: Dr. Odedina Commiserate With Mapoly Lecturers

The Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnics,Dr Samson Odedina has said there is no plan to increase the tuition fees of the institution, after which he charged all the Academic Staffs of the Institution to focus on their teaching inspite of the challenges they face in their careers.


Dr Odedina gave this charges while declaring the second Annual retreat of the institution Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, Mapoly chapter open held in Abeokuta the state capital of Ogun state.

The chapter chairman of the association,  Comrade Kola Abiola on behalf of the executives and teaming members appreciates the guests who made it to the event.

Dr. Odedina commended the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP for putting up the retreat, while identifying himself as a member of the association who is also feeling same thing with them on salary issues.



In attendance was the National Vice President, Comrade Timothy Oluwalogbon Ogunseye who ably represented the National body of the association, Comrade Olawale Olatunji, The Zone C coordinator of the association ASUP, Mr Steven Akpadu a season tutor among other dignitaries.


Award was presented to all the past chairmen of the association by the Rector of the polytechnic, Dr Samson Odedina in recognition of their selfless services.

Barrister Timothy Ogunseye, the vice president of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics ASUP gives the second lecture on family planning and need to be honest with wives in writing and rewriting will.

According to Dr Samson Odedina,

"Everybody in the management including the civil servant are in the same shoes on terms of facing challenges but we should not let that affect our morale in teaching the students."

"There is no controversy on the non payment of salaries, the lecturers are paid regularly, Except January 2019 Salary and we are expecting;  meaning under processing ,
I also commended the Government for giving us money every month to supplement salary payment, which enhance activities in the campus, we are following Governor Ibikunle Amosun on the mission to move the campus to Ipokia and tuition of the institution is not going to be increased, we are also working with circular from the ministry of education on a mission to provide quality education for the people of Ogun and outsiders. Everything is well documented and reported on moving of apoly to Ipokia. Said Odedina"
