House of Representative aspirant, Otunba Olufemi Sosanya has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls from Ifako/Ijaiye Federal Constituency, Lagos state and Nigeria at large on the successful conclusion of the Ramadan fast and commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In his message to the Muslim faithful, Sosanya urged them to continue to pray for the peace of state and nation, particularly towards the conduct of the 2019 general elections.
While wishing them a merry Eid-el-Fitr, he enjoined Muslims to remain committed to the teachings of Islam imbibed during the fast even after the month of Ramadan.
According to Sosanya , “I congratulate our Muslim Umah for successfully observing the Ramadan Fast and prayers, with its life-enriching lessons in the virtues of love, forbearance, unity, patriotism, self-sacrifice.
“In the last one month, I observed the piety and the spirit of giving associated with the month, and therefore urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to remain their brother’s keeper till eternity so as to make the society better for it.
“Being the last Ramadan before the 2019 general elections, I urge them to continue in a life of prayers for the state, and seize the extension of voters card opportunity to troop out to register and remain eligible to vote come 2019. , I urge our Muslim brethren and indeed all Lagosians to continue to pray for the peace and success of elections in our state”
He also congratulated the entire members of People's Democratic Party PDP under the leadership of Alhaji Adegoke Moshood Salvador and all traditional rulers on the occasion and prayed for progress, peace and stability of the state.
