Praiz Foundation Aid Delta Schools With Material

Praiz Foundation had just concluded the first phase of its "Make a Child Smile" Project, by distributing school sandals to pupils in some rural areas of Delta state.

Speaking with Blessing Salvation Obasi the  Delta State Coordinator, recounted that many pupils in the rural areas go through a lot of distress to go to school, as some of these pupils have to go to farm everyday before leaving  for school; and others do not go to school at all on  market days because they have to assist their parents in the market.

As important as Education is, many parents in the rural areas take it with laxity probably due to lack of funds, exposure and illiteracy. Pupils go to School  barefooted and without good clothes, study materials and learning aids.

According to Blessing, in a way of alleviating poverty and supporting the government in achieving SDG 4 by 2030 and by advocating for Education to be prioritized, Praiz Foundation Delta State Chapter is assisting these pupils to commemorate its maiden project tagged “Make a Child Smile"
This Project is split into three phases. The first phase of the project is to distribute school sandals for the pupils, which has already been completed. In the second phase we are committed to getting school uniform for pupils with shabby or no uniform, while in the third phase we will ensure to provide study materials such as notebooks,  writing and drawing pens,  school bags for them

Praiz Foundation has completed its first phase of the project by giving out school sandals to the pupils of Atebo Primary School Oghara Iyede and Ogewho Primary School Iyede, Isoko North Local Government, Delta state.

The state coordinator - Blessing Salvation Obasi believes that the project will encourage both the pupil and their parent to see and make  education a priority.

She appreciates God almighty for the strength and wisdom to execute the first phase of the project and she also appreciates everyone who supported financially and in kind to ensure that the project "Make a Child Smile"  phase one is a  huge success.

She also uses the medium  to make an appeal for more volunteers and kindhearted people to assist in the execution of the second phase "Make a Child Smile" project.
