The Agege Local Government Executive Chairman, Alhaji, High Chief Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi, has congratulated Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu on his emergence as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the just concluded Gubernatorial Primary in Lagos State.
The Gubernatorial Primary which was held earlier today at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, formerly called Onikan Stadium, was a contest between Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, Mr. Abdul-Ahmed Olorunfemi Mustapha and Mr. Wale Oluwo.
Egunjobi in his congratulatory statement described the gubernatorial primary exercise conducted by the officials as highly inspiring and democratically praiseworthy.
The statement however appealed to other co-contestants who loss in the primary exercise to rally round the emerged candidate and also rally round our great party to deliver overwhelmingly in the 2023 general elections.
His statement reads in part: "I write to congratulate Mr. Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu for your success at the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC), Gubernatorial Primary election which was held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan. Thr primary, which was supervised by National Working Committee of our party and monitored by INEC officials later produced you as the gubernatorial flagbearer our great party for year 2023 governorship election.
"I equally extend this congratulatory message to the entire All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Lagos particularly our esteeemed National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the successful completion of the Gubernatorial Primary. This peaceful conduct of our primary exercise indicate that our party is waxing stronger and well strengthening to keep chatting the consolidating cause of continuity and prosperity for the citizenry.
"I appealed to other co-contestants who have lost out during the course of this primary to see this as victory for us all and rally round round the victorious candidate to ensure we deliver overwhelmingly victories for our party come 2023."
