OGUN: UDP appointed first female State Chairman

The United Democratic Party, (UDP), has appointed Chief Dr Jackie Adunni Kassim as acting  Chairman of the Party in Ogun state.

In a release issued at the weekend and copy of which was obtained by our Correspondent, Chef Jackie Kassim appointment followed the approval of the national Chairman of the Party, High Chef Godson Okoye.

The former gubernatorial candidate of the Party in the last election, Chief Kassim, is the first female acting Chairman of the Party and according to the release, her mandate is to reorganize and reposition the Party in Ogun State.

She was also told to prepare for a state congress within thirty days of her appointment or anytime stipulated by the National Chairman.

The new acting Chairman of UDP, Chief Jackie Adunni Kassim has seen it all in the world of fashion and modelling. Jackie had in the 70s combed the streets of London and New York, where she studied modelling and fashion.

She was the only female candidate in the last gubernatorial election In Ogun State.
