30 POLITICAL PARTIES ENDOZED HON TITI OSENI FOR OGUN CENTRAL SENATORIAL DISTRICT

Thirty Political Parties under the auspices of Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Ogun State chapter have declared their support for Rt. Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez as the Ogun Central Senatorial District in the coming general election slated to hold tomorrow, Saturday.

According to information reaching our reporter, CNPP in a meeting held last Thursday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital said it has adopted the African Democratic Party, ADC candidate in line with her good deeds in the past.

The group acting secretary, Hon Akinyele Sarafadeen Ogunwoolu who speaks with our reporter shortly after the meeting said Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez is the only credible candidate for the position, which is why the group adopted her.

Honourable Ogunwoolu who is also one of the strongest stakeholders in Ogun Politics, said there is serious and urgent need to appoint women to the position this time around to avoid gender inequality.

He also mandated all other political parties to rally round and support Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez in tomorrow, Saturday general elections.

Also, on his own part, the Public Relations Officer of the group, Hon Segun Matthew said the group believes so much in Hon Oseni-Gomez, because while serving as the speaker of the state in the previous dispensation, he empowered so many people.

The PRO also stated that the former speaker used her influence to help many youths to gain employment to different government parastatals in the state.

He therefore call on other parties to give strong support for her if they really want change, and that women must be given the opportunity this time around.

Hon Matthew also call on INEC not to be biased in the coming elections, to allow clean and credible elections, and to make peace reign.

He call on the four Commissioner of police assigned to the state to protect the people's right and also security of lives and properties should be guaranteed.

He therefore call on the new CP appointed to Ogun Central, CP Gbenga Adeyanju to keep watch on all miscreants who are ready to trauncate the process of the election, and such incident that happened in the presence of the President last Monday will not repeat itself again.
