'Obaladi's Death, A Great Loss To Ogun' - Reps Deputy Minority Whip, Adekoya

The Deputy Minority Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid has sent his condolence message to the family of the late Oba Busari Adelere Adetona Orimadegun III as he joined his forefathers.

Below is the copy of the letter signed by Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid (ATTACKER), The Otunba Tadese of Afonland

The Chairman,
Regency Council of AFON land,
Afon Kingdom,
Imeko-Afon Local Government,
Ogun State.

AS OBA BUSARI ADELERE ADETONA, ORIMADEGUN III, JOINS OUR ANCESTORS:
MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES

While I was still grieving the passing away of Oba Olusola Gbadebo Oni, the Olu of Imasayi, the news of the passing on to glory of OBALADI of AFON Kingdom hit me like a thunderbolt. This no doubt is one loss too many. But who are we to question Almighty Allah?

Kabiyesi ascended the throne of his fathers on August 18th, 2008 and in the course of his reign he decorated and honoured me as Otunba Tadese of Afon Land., a feat that confirms him till tomorrow as a traditional leader who was well-travelled, well-vast, and highly connected. No wonder, his Kingdom within the near-twelve years of his enthronment witnessed unprecedented and enviable growth, development and lasting peace.

Indeed, Kabiyesi left us at the age of 62 which we consider as untimely, but we relish in the fact that he left uncommon legacies, fond memories and indelible landmark achievements which will forever outlive him. Afon land will forever miss his spiritual, political, economic and traditional contributions towards the town and the entire Ogun West.

Though I grieve, it is a honour that I, Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid on behalf of my family, the good people of Ijebu-North/Ijebu-East/Ogun Waterside, Federal Constituency, wish to identify with the Royal family, Regency Council, Afon people, and the entire people of Imeko-Afon Local Government at this sober moment while we pray that Allah Subhanahu Wa ta'ala grant our amiable Kabiyesi eternal rest.

Please accept the assurances of my heartfelt condolences as I wish Afon land sustainable peace and development long after his departure.

Rt. Hon. Adekoya Adesegun Abdel-Majid
(ATTACKER)
The Otunba Tadese of Afonland
