TENSION IN OGUN AS CULTISTS SHOOTS WOMAN, NEPHEW

It was a dark Sunday at Olorungbemi Estate area of Ibefun, Odogbolu LG, as some armed men believed to be cultists, attacked and shot a woman and her nephew. 

The victim, Mrs Olajumoke Onayemi whilst sitted outside her house, was shot in the head, however, her nephew Tolulope  escaped with wounds.  The incident happened around 7.30pm on the 15th of March, 2020. 

According to an anonymous eyewitness, the incident occurred as a result of the relationship between the Victim's daughter Omoshalewa Amina Onayemi and her lover Mr Adewale Olufemi Adekunle who had be subjected to similar attacks in recent times.

He also added that the victim was shot because of her inability to tell them where Mr Adewale Olufemi Adekunle and her daughter was at that moment.

The community chairman Mr Adeyanju Mukail, in his words,  expressed his fear, call on the neighborhood watch vigilante of Olorungbemi community, to be more vigilant to foil such future attacks. He described the victim to be an easy going industrious woman, and a mother figure respected by all in the community. He then tasked the relevant authorities to step up and fish out the culprits. 

The victim, Mrs Olajumoke Onayemi is said to be in a critical condition while investigations are on going.
The culprits are yet to be apprended.
