The house of assembly aspirants under the All Progressives Congress APC in the forthcoming election in Ogun state has written a signed petition to the leadership of the party to express vote of no confidence on the screening committtee led by Hon. Mrs Anifowose.
According to the petition signed by over 23 aspirants cutting across the state , accusing the screening committee chaired by Hon. Mrs Anifowose on 28th of september of entertaining bias in all his screening process.
We observed that all aspirants loyal to Governor Ibikunle Amosun was given tally pass as means of identification prior to the screening committee which led to screening of all the consensus candidates according to the governor"s list without any exception.
The aspirants also said in the petition that, despite the brilliant performance of all the aspirants with no tallypass ,they were screened out, the atmosphere was not conducive for all aspirants as suspected thugs humiliated us with dangerous weapons.
"There was no guideline for the completion of forms, after purchasing at the state secretariat which is not good enough as it lead many aspirants wrongly. The appeal committee communicated their incapacitate in help subject to the report of the NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE."
"Concealment and Non Disclosure of material fact: it is noteworthy that the screening exercise which is designed to review and disqualify application ought to have fully discvlose the grounds of the screening and disqualify exercise for example the guidelines that contain the criteria, for disqualification was not disclosed but concealed said the apirants"
However, the aspirant prays to the distinguish office of the national chairman of the ALL PROGRESSIVES PARTY APC to review the report of the screening exercise as well as appeal committee to enable fairness, justice and conclusive level playing ground for all aspirants, all disqualification to be waived his magnanimity and wisdom of the National Working Committee to forestall exodus to other party platforms.
